Too often, people only pay attention once the damage has already been done. I am more interested in what happened beforehand.
The warning signs. The childhood experiences. The family dynamics. The emotional wounds. The untreated trauma. The instability.
One of the areas I find most important, and most difficult to talk about, is the role of childhood and parenting. I believe that many of the most disturbing crimes and behaviours we see can almost certainly be traced back to early relationships, especially the relationship between a child and their parents. More specifically, I am deeply interested in the bond between a mother and a child.
These topics are uncomfortable, sensitive, and often misunderstood, which is exactly why I believe they need to be discussed more openly, as well as psychology as a whole, psychodynamics, human behavior, emotions and feelings, and the deeper reasons behind why people do the things they do.
This website is not only about crime or tragedy. It is about understanding people. My goal is to make these subjects easier to understand, more accessible to the general public, and impossible to ignore, because awareness matters.
